Pedestrian Walkway Mat

A walkway mat built for feet, not wheels

A pedestrian walkway mat solves a different problem from a vehicle mat. The aggressive diamond tread that grips a truck tyre is a trip hazard underfoot and snags trolley wheels. This mat uses a fine nub texture instead — enough grip for wet boots, low enough that pedestrians, wheelchairs, and pallet trucks roll across without catching an edge.

Trip-safe, all-weather grip

The shallow texture sheds water and stays grippy in rain, so a path across grass or mud does not turn slick when the crowd arrives. There is no raised vehicle tread to stub a toe on and no proud connector to catch a heel, which is what makes it suitable for public spectator routes and disabled access where a fall is a real liability.

Light enough for one person

At roughly 25–36 kg in 3×8 or 4×8 ft (and ~1.2×1.2 m tiles), the 1/2 in mat is a one- or two-person lift, so a small crew lays a long walkway and reroutes it as a site or event layout changes. No plant is needed to deploy or recover it — it pairs with a matted run for full construction site access.

Where it is used

Event spectator paths, site-office and welfare-unit walkways, and disabled and buggy access over soft ground. It carries foot traffic and carts, not vehicles — where loaded plant crosses the same line, switch to a standard or diamond-tread access mat rated for the wheel load.
